WILD GATHER sEEDS CAMP

Have you been daydreaming about walking into the outdoors for a week with water, earth, moss, stones, stars and fellow plant lovers all around? Are you hungering to learn and practice skills that connect you with the woods and wilds, while honoring your dream speak, translating plants whispers and crushing on running water?! Do you desire to spend one beautiful, precious week together, at a time when late Summer kisses early Fall, in and around various conservation areas stretching from Mt Tremper to Catskill, NY.

Well, Wild Gather’s Seeds Camp is here for that! We’re taking our Seeds of Herbalism Program and bringing it back outdoors. We invite you to go on an ultimate plant trip with us, where we’ll do things like simultaneously sing along to Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby” and break down the science of botany!

Seeds Camp is a 5-day outdoor plant immersion that facilitates the learning and practice of plant medicine and earth work from an honest place of gratitude, wonder, joy and respect. Our week together will begin to cultivate an active, ongoing commitment to being in good relationship with the land, plants, fungi and creatures through listening to, learning from and advocating for the land and their inhabitants.

Seeds Camp begins with personal introductions and offerings, exploring and sharing our stories, and sitting within the quiet and more mysterious spaces and feels of the landscape and ourselves. We’ll engage in active listening, story telling, essence crafting, sitting with water, dreamwork, honoring our ancestors and holding/nurturing a space for the unknown and unspoken gifts we may receive in our time together.

We’ll ground into the physical and earthly aspects of how we embody and define herbalism through wild plant identification and botany, medicine making, outdoor skills, first aid and more. Much time will be spent learning about plants and their habits and habitats, and engaging in complex and important conversations of rethinking wildcrafting, “invasive plant species” and making medicine with the prolific, abundant and oftentimes undesirable plants of this bioregion.

Thank you so much for your interest and time, and so look forward to being with you during this truly incredible week!
